FaceBattle FAQ

Common questions about Omoggles — privacy, AI scoring, friend battles, ELO. Click any to expand.

Is FaceBattle free?

Yes, completely. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads. Open omoggles.com, accept the age + terms gate, start playing.

Do I need an account or email?

No. There's no signup form. The first time you visit, your browser generates a random user ID locally. Clear your browser data and you start fresh as a new player.

Where does my face data go?

Nowhere. Battles run peer-to-peer over WebRTC — your video stream goes directly to your opponent's browser. Face analysis runs entirely on your device. The only thing the server sees is a single number per ~2 seconds (your AI score, 0–100) used to decide the match outcome.

Is the AI score accurate?

It's geometric, not magical. The AI measures five facial proportions (symmetry, eye spacing, jaw, lips, cheekbones) using MediaPipe FaceMesh's 478 landmarks. It's a fun, consistent signal — not an objective measure of attractiveness. Don't take it personally.

Can I be matched with someone I just skipped?

No. When you skip an opponent, FaceBattle puts both of you on a 2-minute cooldown for that pair. You'll match with anyone else, just not the same person right away.

What devices work?

Any modern browser with camera + WebRTC support — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge on desktop; mobile Chrome and Safari on phone. Works on Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android.

Why don't I see any opponents?

Either it's quiet right now (low traffic on a new domain — try again at peak hours), or you opened two tabs of the same browser to test (same browser shares your identity, so the matchmaker correctly refuses to pair you with yourself). To test alone, open the second tab in incognito or a different browser.

Can I play with a friend instead of a stranger?

Yes. Click Play with a FriendGenerate code. Share the 6-character code with them. When they paste it, you both drop straight into a private 1v1 battle, no queue.

What does ELO mean?

ELO is your competitive ranking, like in chess. Everyone starts at 0. Win = gain ELO, lose = lose ELO. Amount depends on your opponent's rating. Tiers: Rookie 0–49, Bronze 50–149, Silver 150–299, Gold 300–499, Platinum 500–749, Diamond 750–999, Legend 1000+.

Is there a way to delete my data?

Open My Stats → Reset profile, or clear your browser's site data for omoggles.com. Either way you become a new anonymous player. There's nothing on a server to delete because we don't store anything in the first place.

Is FaceBattle the same company as Omoggle?

No, completely independent. FaceBattle is an alternative to Omoggle with stronger privacy guarantees, AI face scoring, ELO ranks, and friend codes.

How old do I have to be?

18 or older. FaceBattle is intended for adults — you'll be on live video with strangers. The first time you visit, you'll be asked to confirm your age before any battles can start.
